We’ve all heard of the super minimalist Scandinavian inspired Mahabis slippers. An attempt to make slippers stylish. A brief completely nailed when the company launched in 2014. At the time you couldn’t manoeuvre between social media or print without being tempted to buy a pair of the classic version with detachable sole.

This new age slipper offers wearers a comfy indoor shoe which could also be worn outside representing the epitome of foot heaven. Bring it forward to 2019 and there is a new kid on the block – The Mahabis Flow slippers. Or as they like to describe it: Downtime. Redesigned.
The core elements still stands at its heart – flexible lightweight and comfortable. This model is designed with everyday adventures in mind – Music to my wanderlusting soul. I’ve always been on the hunt for footwear which can take the edge off weary feet when travelling.
And it doesn’t end there, Mahabis also do a children’s range, this time – Childhood. Redesigned. Akin to the adult versions in design, they’re created to capture the very essence of childhood, with comfort in mind but made for play.
Each pair comes with their own dust bags in a range of summer shades. The kids are guaranteed to love the pairing of vibrant colours.
Simple and innovative, the functional slip on and go effect as you can imagine works brilliantly for kids.
Whether it’s a leisurely bike ride or a slightly more adventurous Swallows and Amazons-esque climb up a tree. They deliver the dream of comfort whilst playing.
Or when at home they keep you cosy too whilst curled up reading a favourite book. The ultimate, right?
So what are they really like to wear? Once on the adaptable foam insole contours your foot, allowing flexibility whilst walking. Ideal for those who love pounding the streets visiting numerous sights on a city break. They would have been a perfect addition on our trip to Berlin, where we walked for miles all weekend.
The lightweight woven upper material along with the breathable lining helps keep feet sweat free even on the hottest day without socks. Finally the iconic neoprene heel helps you to pull the slippers on. Wrapping around the back of your heel it keeps your foot in place for a super ergonomic fit. Almost making you wonder if you’re wearing any footwear at all.
Their versatile design means my Mahabis Flow will be my chosen footwear for flights replacing my trainers. No need to take them off as soon as I board, cluttering up the small space for our feet. High five for that alone.
Stepping off a plane and ready to explore a new destination – no problem. The stylish and fashionable element to the slipper makes you look good whether teamed with skirts or jeans. Could this get any better?
How Much Is A Pair Of MAHABIS SLIPPERs?
There is no denying that these are premium slippers with a price tag to match – £79 for the adult version and £49 for kids. Honestly, once you try them you’ll soon see why. Beautifully formed and designed with quality in mind, they’re made to last. And now YOU can also be the proud owner of a pair!
