London is home to some of the world’s finest places when it comes to indulging in a glass of champagne. Whether it’s a celebration or you’re just a lover of bubbles there is a fantastic selection of places to pop that cork!
Since I’ve started blogging I’ve quaffed more glasses of champers than ever before, through a whirlwind of invites and events. So I thought whom better to ask than some of my favourite London bloggers on where they go for a glass of the fine stuff.
Here are the best places to drink champagne in London from those in the know:
The Promenade at The Dorchester
I just had to kick start the list with one of London’s landmark hotels. For a debonair service in glamorous surroundings head to The Promenade at The Dorchester. With a fancy address on Park Lane opposite Hyde Park, since opening in 1931, this Mayfair hotel has seen royalty, rock stars and Hollywood’s finest walk through the door.
The perfect place to enjoy a cold glass of Laurent-Perrier ensconced in the opulence of the coral draperies, gold accents and foliage. Sit back, relax and listen to the resident pianist tickle the ivories whilst you people watch to your heart’s content.

Bob Bob Ricard
Recommended by Paula Holmes from The LDN Diaries
When it comes to champagne in London, the best place for me has to be Bob Bob Ricard in Soho. Each dining table in the decadent restaurant has a ‘Press for Champagne’ button, press it and a waiter will swiftly arrive at your table to take your order.
Enjoy a glass or bottle of champagne and choose from favourites such as Moet & Chandon and Bollinger to Don Pérignon and Louis Roederer. Perfectly pair your champagne with some of Bob Bob Ricard’s delicious food menu inspired by English and Russian classics that include caviar and Jersey Rock oysters, or if you want even more champagne why not opt for the Champagne & truffle humble pie.

Searcys at the Gherkin
Recommended by Emma from Adventures of a London Kiwi
One of my favourite places in London to enjoy a glass of well-earned champagne is the beautiful Helix by Searcys in St Mary’s Axe (known fondly as the Gherkin.) Formerly an exclusive members club, the 360′ view Searcys Restaurant/bar spans 3 floors and sits at the pinnacle of the glass-sheathed Gherkin.
The last time we visited, it was a grey London day, but with the promised pop of a celebratory champagne cork (who says champagne isn’t magic?) with the last hour of the day the sun peeked her face out over the capital. We love seeing the sunset in from our high vantage point – the twisting Thames River, the wild East End, gleaming skyscrapers in the City, Tower Bridge, the Cheesegrater, the Shard & Walkie Talkie, St Paul’s Cathedral and lights of buildings slowly coming to life.
The Library Bar at The Lanesborough
Recommended by Lorna from LornaLuxe
Undoubtedly for me one of London’s hidden gems. The Library bar at The Lanesborough has for a long time been my secret escape. The hotel plays home to super stars and the mega wealthy while at the same time welcomes non guests as if they were family. This makes it a fairly discreet but equally enthralling spot to waste an afternoon.
The Library bar menu is extensive but I’m a creature of habit so tend to order a glass of the house Taittinger which I know will wash down the three tiers of complimentary snacks – I defy anyone not to finish the truffle corn kernels.
The wood panelled walls, the ripened leather chairs, the tinkling piano – all of this create an ambience of something I’d imagine in an old Hollywood movie. Well worth a visit.

With an enviable and amazing panoramic view of London, Aqua Shard on the 31st floor is in one of my favourite landmarks in London – The Shard, is my top spot for a glass (or a few glasses) of Champagne.
I love nothing more than seeing the cityscape from high above and my favourite time to enjoy a glass of bubbly there is from just before sunset, watching the sky transform from blue to fiery orange and finally glisten and twinkle with all the lights of the surrounding buildings. No reservations are required for the bar area and the bathrooms are worth a visit too – if you haven’t been, I won’t ruin the surprise!

Connaught Bar at The Connaught
Recommended by Angie Silver from SilverSpoon London
There is no bar in London more beautiful than Connaught Bar at the The Connaught Hotel. I can’t think of anywhere better to quaff champagne than in the luxurious surrounding of the Art-Deco style interior designed by the late David Collins.
The walls are a glamorous silver leaf, the bar itself a slate grey and with only a limited number of tables it feel perfectly intimate. My favourite champagne, Laurent-Perrier, is served by the glass but you can also try one of the legendary ‘Master Piece’ cocktails. Or for something totally different a Martini made bespoke at the table from the bar’s world famous Martini trolley. I spent several birthdays, anniversaries and ‘just because’ days here as it really is one of the most special places in the city.

I’m a huge fan of London’s luxury hotel bars for a glass of champagne of an evening, however my favourite place in the whole city is Archer Street bar in Soho. There’s something pretty special about being encouraged to dance on the tables whilst quaffing champagne, and it’s the place I always go to when I’m in need of a ‘pick-me-up’ and some fun to make me smile after a long week.
They have a great champagne list, and the bar is known for its wild personality, with the staff getting up on the tables to sing every so often (always make sure you stay for Proud Mary at the end!), and DJ Daza on the decks playing a bit of Beyonce.

Four Seasons Park Lane
Recommended by Aftab Pathan from Fresh and Fearless
Champagne is an art form, which can take up to seven years to reach the bars we are found ordering a glass of bubbles at. Picking a suitable location to order some of their finest champagne is a must. As someone who is a massive fan of Four Seasons’ luxury hotels, it only makes sense to be in the heart of Mayfair, at Four Seasons Park Lane.
Whether it be on their L’Azur summer terrace under the scorching sun or cosying up in the Amarento Bar with a glass of champagne. I would say it’s my go to place to celebrate good news and catch up with a few friends over a glass of effervescent liquid gold.

American Bar at The Savoy
Recommended by Fern from Fern About Town
Londoners know how lucky we are to have such variety of amazing bars in town but, when it comes to enjoying a glass of bubbly or a champagne cocktail, one place really springs to mind.
Saunter through The Savoy’s grand foyer and you may chance upon what is one of my favourite London bars for a truly sophisticated drink. With its mirrored, art deco decor and resident pianist, the American Bar at The Savoy is one of the most beautiful, if not iconic, settings in London. It fizzes with Old Hollywood glamour, and is the perfect spot for celebratory bubbles or an elegant cocktail to toast the weekend.

With so many fabulous spots to choose from, I hope this inspires you to go out and celebrate in style or perhaps just to treat yourself.
We’re all worth it after all – Chin…chin folks!
